Trauma-Informed Leadership Training & Trauma-Informed Workshops for Education Professionals

Trauma-Informed Leadership is an approach that recognizes the widespread impact of trauma on individuals and organizations and incorporates this awareness into leadership practices. Leaders practicing this style prioritize creating safe, supportive, and empathetic environments where individuals feel valued, heard, and understood. This leadership model emphasizes compassion, trust-building, and promoting resilience, aiming to empower teams and improve overall well-being and performance.

Traditional First Nations Parenting Workshop

Conventional/Western parenting programs do not incorporate the unique history of colonization and cultural dissemination of First Nations people or take into account the intergenerational impact of the residential school era.

Traditional Indigenous Parenting Worksho9p:

Our Traditional First Nations Parenting Workshop is designed to empower parents by blending connection-focused parenting, culturally-relevant approaches that are deeply rooted in Indigenous ways of knowing and worldview. Together, we can reconnect to what we thought was lost, recognize the wounds we inherited and lay foundations for self-empowerment while responding to our children’s needs for attachment, security and love with confidence and resilience by drawing from the wisdom of our Elders. This program focuses on holistic parenting, offering guidance on nurturing the whole child—emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually—while also emphasizing effective stress management and self-care for the parents/caregivers.

Through this two day program, parents will also gain valuable tools and insights on child development, attachment, self-awareness, and emotional regulation, all from a trauma-informed perspective. We aim to support you in cultivating a balanced and connected family life, where both you and your children can thrive. By embracing our traditions and teachings, we can work together to create a nurturing, supportive environment for raising the next generation.

Retreat & Team-Building Workshops

  • At Spirit Bear Consulting we understand the importance of stress management and having a culture of trust, support and respect in a workplace. We offer a workshop called ‘The Four Elements of A Healthy Workplace’ that is designed to empower employees with practical tools for stress management and foster strong supportive team relationships. This workshop uses the Medicine Wheel Concept (Physical, Emotional, Mental & Spiritual). Through interactive sessions, participants will explore techniques to reduce stress, build resilience, and enhance their well-being in and outside the workplace. Emphasizing the importance of open communication and mutual respect, the workshop will guide teams on how to create a positive, collaborative environment. The workshop also highlights the critical role of a supportive culture in promoting safety, trust, and respect among colleagues. By the end of the day, employees will leave equipped with strategies to manage stress effectively and contribute to a healthier, more cohesive workplace.

The Spirit Bear is seen as a sign for peace, harmony and balance.

We aim to foster a space where diverse perspectives are celebrated, meaningful connections are made and every individual feels valued, heard, and empowered.
